First Grade Supply List, 2008-2009
First Grade Supply List
Supplies in Mrs. Moersch’s and Ms. Weisman’s rooms are shared community supplies, so please DO NOT label them with your child’s name.
For all three classrooms
- hand sanitizer
- 4 wide-ruled notebooks (no perforated pages): red, blue, yellow, green
- 10 folders: 2 red, 2 blue, 2 yellow, 2 green, 2 purple
- 2 packages of post-its
- 10 fat pencils, also called beginner pencils (these have a wider barrel and are easier for
small hands to grasp)
- 4 rectangular erasers
- crayons
- markers- colored pencils
- 4 BLACK SKINNY dry erase markers with caps
- scissors (Fiskars for children are recommended)
- white all-purpose glue
- 5 glue sticks
- 2 boxes of tissues
- 2 boxes of Hefty one-zip freezer bags - gallon and sandwich sizes
- backpack
- gym shoes (if you have an extra pair, they can be kept in your child's locker)
- donation to the math program: 5 dimes, 10 nickels, 1 quarter
- $2 for a Science Notebook
- healthy snacks such as pretzels or crackers (Please consider donating classroom snacks
throughout the year.)
Ms Weisman only
- ruler with centimeter and inch marking
- hand held pencil sharpener

- water bottles

Classroom Wish List
The following items would be greatly appreciated.
- copy paper - white and colored
- cardstock, any color
- gift cards for colored copies, photos, and extra school supplies
- Sharpie markers and highlighter markers
- outdoor play equipment - nerf balls, basket ball, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk
- whiteboard cleaner
- wallpaper sample books
