Site Council of Highland Park Elementary
Site councils are mandated by the Saint Paul School District and are used for Site Based Improvement. Their purpose may vary within each school but they may:
  1. help shape and support the school's mission;
  2. help develop the School Comprehensive Improvement Plan
  3. drive school change and develop conditions for success
  4. help plan and prioritize the school budget.
The Site Council at Highland Park Elementary is a mix of elected parents and teachers/staff. As a group, the Site Council serves as an advisory group to our principal, Teresa Ciccarelli. As advisors, we hear concerns from parents and bring them to her and the District. Most importantly, we make recommendations based on what is best for all children of Highland Park Elementary.
