night for 15+ minutes. Record books on a Reading Log of book titles (use any
paper).Complete a minimum of 6 of the

Our current PYP unit is about Families.Interview a parent or grandparent about the family they grew up
in.Write at least 5 questions and
answers.

Make a bar graph of the ages of the members of your family.Separate the ages into odd and even
numbers.

Take action to help someone in
your family.Draw a picture to show
what you did. Label your picture or write a story to explain.
4.
Show your appreciation by writing
a thank you letter to some-one in your family who has been caring to you.Challenge:make a thank you note card instead of a letter and decorate the front.
5.
Use your creativity to write a
Name Poem.Write your name down the
side of the paper.Add a fun word that
begins with each letter.
6.
Make a Word Wall collage:cut out at
least 10 word wall words from a magazine, catalog or newspaper.You could also cut out individual letters
to spell at least 5 word wall words.
7.Make up new words to a familiar song.
8.Make a list of rhyming words for 5 Word
Wall words.
9.
Practice counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s to 120 as fast as you can!
10.
Make a grocery list of 10 items.Go to
the store with a parent or look for ads; write down the prices of these
items.
11.
Practice telling time to the hour and half hour.List six
bedtimes
to the nearest hour or half hour.
12.
Find an item from an advertisement that costs $1.00 or less.Glue the picture on a paper and record 10
combinations of coins to equal the amount.Use dimes, nickels or pennies.Example:
