About Your Teacher Ms. Weisman aka Ms. Woods-Weisman Hello!  I'm Marcia Woods-Weisman and I go by "Ms. Weisman."  This will be my 2nd year at Highland Park Elementary School, but I've been a teacher for 13 years. I've taught in the Chicago area and Madison, Wisconsin before moving to St. Paul.  I have a Masters Degree from Viterbo University in Curriculum and Instruction and I've done some additional graduate work at Hamline University in the last couple of years. I've gone to school all over the Midwest since graduating from high school in my hometown of Beachwood, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.     I've done a lot of work with Literacy and Community Building and I've put on a few shows at my previous schools including schoolwide celebrations and original plays. I love music, dance, drama, telling original stories and sports. I have an almost 3 year old son Joseph and my partner, Dylan, is also a teacher. We have a big dog named Lucy and a furry cat named Etta and while Joseph is an only child, he has LOTS of cousins! I'm very excited about teaching at Highland Park Elementary School and I look forward to another great school year!
