Welcome!
Note
A note from a former student on a table at our reception.
I am very excited to be your Third Grade teacher for the 2008-2009 school year!

Staying In Touch
This is our class webpage. It is filled with great information about the class and will be updated on a regular basis. I encourage you to check here often for updates as we will be adding photos and other information.

Watch for newsletters every other week. Newsletters will keep families informed about class happenings, volunteer opportunities, and any special supplies we may need. Our newsletter will be posted on our classroom's webpage. If you would like newsletters sent to your email account instead of going home with your child, please let me know.

A Little About The Teacher
As many of you know, I was married on June 16th, 2007. I am married to a wonderfully caring man named Brian who gave me my new last name: Mrs. Teresa Vogelgesang. It is really long but quite easy to say. Just look at the syllables and say Vo - gull - ge - sang. It was a beautiful ceremony and my third graders from a couple years ago wrote us notes. We put them on the tables for our guests to enjoy.

I have a great appreciation for the people in my family! They are talented and caring

individuals whom I am lucky to have in my life. My parents, Dottie and John, have been married 35 years.  I have two sisters who are my best friends. Angie is older than I, while Maria is younger. We have great, unique relationships with each other! Last but not least, my parents have two enthusiastic Pembroke Welsh Corgi's! Their names are Zack and Zoey.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2003. I have
a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early
Childhood. I have also attended the University of St. Thomas to take classes toward a Masters in Learning Technologies. I have throughly enjoyed my five years at Highland and I am excited to start another year!
